Family Pictures

So I've been so excited to post these pictures. My sister-in-law Jaylene offered to take our pictures after we had them done by someone else who was offering a service. After it was all said and done it didn't end up being a service. We were going to have to pay. Anyway Jaylene worried herself sick over the whole thing thinking she wasn't going to do a good job, but all that worrying was for nothing she did AWESOME! I love love love love them. She could totally do this as a business (I will have one last family picture to post once I get it)...

Big Girl Bed

When I went out to Kentucky my sister was getting rid of this cute little bed. We decided to put it up today and try Hallie out on it. We put Keira in her bed around 14 months and she did really well so we decided we would give Hallie a try. Hallie was really excited to lay in this little bed and of course Keira wanted to lay with her for a while after we had put it together.... So, since it was her first night we gave her three tries. After the first we put her in her crib to show her what would happen when she got out. She got out two more times and back in her crib she went. We'll let her try again tomorrow.

Bath Tub Incidents

Today I was giving Keira a bath and I told Hallie she could have one later. Well Hallie stood there longingly running her hands through the water and I stepped into my bedroom to hang up some clean laundry. I kept watching and watching to make sure Hallie wasn't going to try anything funny. Sure enough Keira yells no Hallie and starts squealing. Hallie jumped in head first and got mad at me when I took her out.
Ok this is really gross, but Jason insisted I put it on here. Keira and Hallie were taking a bath. Jason said Hallie stood up and was whining like she wanted out of the tub. Next thing you know this happens.
Keira was out of the tub in two seconds and Hallie would have been right behind her if she could have. I feel a little comforted knowing that she is starting to recognize when she has to go and that it's not okay to go anywhere.

Giant Marshmallows

I saw these giant marshmallows at the store and some how they ended up in my cart. Keira tried stuffing the whole thing in her mouth like her daddy. She didn't get very far.
This picture reminds me of my dad. I always heard the retelling of the grille cheese sandwich story (whether I was alive to see it I don't really remember), but I do remember it was along the lines of seeing how many he could eat. As a result we didn't eat grilled cheese very much growing up...Jason got one marshmallow in, but couldn't choke it down

Touching the Temple (Sept. 2)

When we were living in Rexburg we had a bishop that told us to take our kids up to touch the temple. He explained that by us just going up there and walking around or even touching the temple they could feel the spirit that surrounds the temple. Also he wanted us to make the temple a part of their life at an early age. Keira was just a tiny baby at the time so we decided we would wait till she got a little older. So we figured now was as good a time as ever so we took them up to the Boise Temple. I don't know how much they understood, but they were happy and Keira loves looking at the temple (and she thinks that her grandma and grandpa pyfer live there. They are temple workers on Saturday at the Twin Falls Temple)

Our Puppy

Ok so we really don't have a puppy, but we take this one out every thursday. Keira has gone from completely scared to taking full initiative. She walks him, holds his leash all by her self, loves on him, takes him potty, gives him his treat, and lets him lick her face. Hallie on the other hand (aside from the very first time we took him out) has always loved this little guy. He is very well trained and awesome with the girls. The best part about the whole thing is that we get an hour of puppy every week and than can give him back.

Dare Devil

Keira climbs to the tallest rocks at the park and jumps off to her daddy. She did it with me the other day and I ended up on my booty (literally). We both walked away unscathed, but I do have to admit I was a little embarassed...what can I say I am much shorter than Jason and she hit me like a ton of bricks...

Eagle Island (Aug. 20)

We went up the street with family to a place called Eagle Island. It was a ton of fun. There is a beachy area, the river (of course), a playground, and waterslides (you have to pay extra for those), and you can do a picnic or I think they have places there you can eat. If you live close you should check it out. It's $5 a car. So stuff a car full and it's a day of fun. Keira and Hallie had fun swimming and playing with cousins. We were really suprised that Hallie would even touch the water. Everytime we had gone to Jason's sister's neighborhood pool or to the spray park she wouldn't have anything to do with the water (she'd start screaming at the sight of it), but this filthy stuff she LOVED! She sat content splashing and playing in the water for hours...

Block Girl and Star Girl (August 11)

Keira and I were playing block together and I came up with the idea to outline her with blocks. She thought it was great and we named her block girl and star girl. We tried to get Hallie to do it, but she just screamed...
