Hallie started standing by herself at the beginning of April. She has even ventured to take a few brave steps, but still prefers to crawl...
She likes to play with the slinky. She shoves it in her mouth and then pulls it until it flings out...
She had her first experience with grass. She did much better than when Keira was little, but still is not a fan.

She really likes to veg in this chair. She will sit her forever.

This is her extent of our journeys to the park. She sits in the stroller while we walk there and most of the time while we are there.

She gets out at least once or twice to crawl around. I make her get back in the stroller when I find her with a mouth full of junk.

I watched a girl from down the street a few days ago and Hallie had to be in on all the action. She thought she was just one of the girls.

Hallie likes boxes too (just like her big sister)

Hallie loves to get pulled around in boxes by her daddy. Keira used to do this all the time when she was little (she still would like to, but she is getting harder to pull and the boxes don't last long)

Keira'a April Update

I let Keira make some play dough. She thought it was great. It has lasted for a long time...(we made it a month ago and it is still good as new)

Keira hadn't seen her Grandma and Grandpa Pyfer for several months, so we made a quick trip down there a few weeks ago. Keira was overjoyed to see them especially Grandma. She wouldn't go to sleep. I think it was around 11 before she finally settled down and it was because Grandma told her to close her eyes and when she saw a light under the door in the morning she could come out and play. Well she woke up at 4 in the morning, was sure that Grandma was awake and that mommy and daddy were just being mean and making her stay in bed. She made a break for the door and flung it open. To her disappointment Grandma really was still in bed (for those of you that don't know, it wouldn't have been surprising to see her up this early, but we had stayed up really late the night before). It took her a few hours to fall back to sleep and at the first noise outside the door she was up and ready to play. This is her pretending to take a nap in the car on the way home. She actually didn't fall asleep until we were 5 minutes from home and then we couldn't get her to wake up.
She also got to help me make cookies a couple of times. These are my favorite cookies. (rolo cookies) If you want to try them out they are super easy. 1 package of devil's food cake mix, 2 eggs, and 1/3 of a cup of oil. A rolo pushed into the center. It makes anywhere from 18 to 24 cookies depending on the size you want. Cook at 350 for 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 minutes.

It was really hot here for about a week and a half. We walked to the park several days that week. This horse reminds me of the little rolling horse I had when I was little.

This park is soooooo cool. It has climbing rocks, musical instruments to bang on, play equiptment, and in the summer it is a water park.

My kids love boxes...

Keira has been sleeping in a tent (in her room) for the past three or four days. I use to do this all the time. She is listening to her daddy tell her stories of things he did when he was little.
