Dairy Days Parade

We went to the Dairy Days Parade that was just down the street from our apartment. We tried to contain Hallie to a blanket by bribing her with food. It worked for a good majority of the time.
Keira really likes fire trucks. Every time we drive down the road now she talks about the parade. She had a blast.
She got a little sad because the people handing out candy and other misc. things kept passing her by. I don't know if they figured she was too small or what, but Keira ended up buddying up with this girl (I'd say she was about 11 or 12). She was nice enough to give Keira any candy she got. By the end of the parade Keira was really excited about her handful of candy and to have made a friend.

Trampoline

After going to the spray park, Keira went over to play with Ava. A sprinkler was put under the trampoline and the two of them had fun running, bouncing, jumping, etc. The water came through the trampoline into the air as visible beads. At some point, Keira decided it would be fun to catch that water on her tongue.
They both ended up on hands and knees trying to get that water (kinda gross, but it was cute and they didn't die)

Spray Park

The park down the street has a spray park in the summer. It was finally warm enough to go, so, I raced down to the park trying to beat the crowd (we got there about 9:30) To my disappointment it didn't start running until 11. I was glad that I slathered them down with sunscreen because we had a long time to wait. First stop was the swings. Hallie actually got to swing that day. Most of the time she is in her stroller so she won't try to eat everything or so she won't get run over by other kids.
Keira ended up meeting a friend while she was over at the swings. Her name was Maggie. They were adjoined at the hip the minute they decided to ride the tire swing together. This is Maggie. They ended up having so much fun together, that her mom and I exchanged numbers so that they could meet up with each other again at the park.

Family in Mountain Home

My sister moved to Mountain Home from Oklahoma City a month ago. We gathered at her house because her oldest boy, CJ, was getting baptized. Before we headed off to church he wanted to hold some babies. So he sat down on the couch and piled them on top of him.
When they came over to our apartment, these two were so cute together. Hallie is being fed fake food. She just got done eating chips and now it's on to carrots.

The Drive Home

Before we got to Rupert, we had quite the drive home. We passed under a funnel cloud. Right after we got out from under it, we were pounded by a hail storm (the size of golf balls). Then entering Wyoming we were greeted with a blizzard. This sealed the deal for Jason. He was already saying he would never make that drive again and after all that we both were saying we'll never make that drive again. I don't know how my parents did it. They drove everywhere for vacation with six kids and my stuffed animal dosie (I still don't know how to spell that lambs name I think there should be a t in there somewhere.)

Last Stop Good Old Rupert

Keira helped garden with Grandma Pyfer while we were in Rupert. She dug and helped put the seeds in the ground. She had so much fun doing it. Maybe she will be like my mom where weeding is therapeutic. I wouldn't mind.

Next Stop Illinois

My girls had never met my brother, sister-in-law, and their kids. We hadn't seen them for 3 years. So off we went to Illinois. (I didn't get a pictures of their little guys Jaxon). They had so much fun together. The first thing Hallie did when she met the boys was wrestle them to the ground. Jaxon didn't know what to think of that at first, but after seeing Jordan was having fun he decided it was okay. Ashley is a little cutie. I loved just sitting down and talking to her. She was just so well behaved. We'll miss you guys!

While In Kentucky

When we got to Kentucky there was family, work, play, and of course Zaxby's (Jason's favorite place to eat). We helped my mom and my sister clean their houses and garages. My mom has had her house on the market for a little over a year and IT JUST SOLD A FEW DAYS AGO (WOOHOO)! My sister was putting hers on the market while we were there. Leah, Sammy, and Gabi were still in school...so this was what Keira did while they were gone. Hallie loved Sammy's stuffed animals.
This was the longest that the girls have ever been away from there daddy. It was a little over a week. We went to go pick him up at the airport. You have to pop the trunk while you are waiting and a lot of people were sitting in theirs....so Keira wanted to.

I figured I better get one of Hallie too.
They were so excited to see him

I slept in this same bunk bed on the bottom when I was growing up.

I also sat in this same exact spot at this table from as long as I could remember through high school. I had to sit next to "my mommy."

The girls dressed up Keira. It was so cute and she thought it was great.

Sammy fixed Keira's hair up in this picture. It was the first time she had ever had her hair in a pony. She misses all the attention from cousins.

Keira was thrilled about their play makeup. Her poor face was red and splotchy after applying this plastic makeup over and over again.

We went to a hotel and swam. There were a lot of people there, which equals a lot of noise and splashing. Hallie was scared to death. She was clinging to her Nanny (my sister Anne) most of the time.

Some how I managed to not get a single picture of my girls and their cousin Leah. The only reason I could think of was maybe her room. That is where her and I spent most of the time together. Sorry Leah it makes me sad. When you guys move out I will make sure that I get some, but hey look on the bright side at least your room is clean.

The Long Drive to Kentucky

Thank goodness for dvd players and movies, which entertained Keira for a good portion of the time. Hallie did really well also, but when boredom kicked in stuff like this happened...
(She is watching a movie through her bowl)Once boredom completely took over there was a lot of this (more so for Hallie)

Hallie got her first taste of french fries (thanks to my Mom and Jeff). She liked them so much she climbed out of her chair and onto the table to get to them.
After several days of being around Grandma, she finally decided that as long as Grandma had food she wouldn't scream.
I think it was somewhere in Utah, we found this tiny door. It was probably about half the size of a normal door so my mom and I had to poke a joke at him since he was the one who had to use the bathroom. He fit...
Along the way we also drove by the St. Louis Arch

Hotel in Logan

Keira was super excited to get to sleep in a bed at the hotel. At first she acted like she was going to go to bed, but couldn't contain herself. She had to take advantage of the huge bed.
Hallie on the other hand not so excited. All she cared about was the big mirror on the wall.
When we came back after my brothers commission and graduation. Keira was excited to see that all her animals were lined up nice for her. The lady that made the beds did it for her.

More Pictures From Logan

I didn't get very many pictures of anyone. None with Hallie and the family. She was screaming the whole time...sorry everyone (I think it was a mixture of stranger anxiety, not enough sleep, nothing familiar, no daddy, etc.)

First Stop...Logan

Our first stop was Logan Utah. My brother got commissioned into the Army...
His wife has been deployed for almost a year, but will be home soon (WOOHOO!) So he was pinned by my mother and brother-in-law...
His first salute was to my Grandpa...

While we were there, he also graduated with his Masters from Utah State. We are so proud of you and love you!

Uncle Jack Came to Town

Ok so his name really isn't Uncle Jack...it's Uncle Jeff, but one of my sister's children started calling him that and it has kinda stuck. Keira likes her Unlce Jack. He came to visit us in Meridian. He pulled out his computer so Keira pulled out her play computer (I got this thing when I in elementary school for Christmas...she has no idea how to use it, but it makes noises when she pushes the buttons). She wanted to do what he was doing. So she plopped right up next to him.
